I was asked about my favorite lipsticks in my aesthetic blog @taeheedaily, but I decided to post this one in here since I have way more following on @seouldaily than there, and this is also somewhat related to Korean cosmetics so here we go! I have a mix of Korean lipsticks & liptints and few western ones too. I seriously own like million lipsticks but these are the ones I use the most often.

For reference, I’m super pale and my foundation shade is Nars Sheer Glow in Siberia, and I’m warm/yellow toned. I also tried to keep the pictures and editing as true to the color as I could. So, if you have ever wondered what lipsticks I use, this is for you!

3 CONCEPT EYES

Okay first of all, I love 3CE lipsticks! As for now they have the greatest selection of nude/brownish lipsticks out of Korean brands. I believe this kind of shades are becoming popular in Korea only now, so other brands have started popping up with similar shades too! 

I would say those first three nude shades are the ones I wear 80% of the time, they’re just so great everyday colors. All of them are matte, and I have to say the formula is a liiiittle dry, but I always wear them over lip balm so they feel comfortable!

One of my favorite things to do with these is to combine the shade Ruby Tuesday with any of the nudes for a super cool Stylenanda style ombre lip!

PERIPERA

These are obviously not lipstick but liptints but I thought I would still include these! Peripera has no doubt some of the greatest liptints out there, and they have a very wide selection of shades too, since they have jumped into the MLBB shade bandwagon. 

I love to use the red one on the days I just don’t bother with my makeup but I still want some pop of color! It’s more traditional milky lip tint formula, and the shade is really interesting because it looks more orange red, but when it fades the stain it leaves behind is cool toned pink.

The peachy coral is more velvety and matte formula, and I usually use it with MAC’s Sushi Kiss lipstick I introduce later on for the ultimate peachy lip! Peripera’s Ink The Velvet line has a great range of more neutral and nude liptints and I really recommend chekcing it out since it’s some fresh change for all the basic Korean pink, red and orange liptints.

ETUDE HOUSE

If you ever wondered what was the brown lipstick I wore all the time in Korea, this was it! It’s a really nice nude brown that goes with anything. I also love the formula of this one, it’s not matte but not glossy either so it feels super comfortable and lightweight on the lips. 

WESTERN BRAND LIPSTICKS

The Clarins one is just random lipstick I got from my internship place that I ended up loving! It’s more glossy formula yet quite opaque and sooo comfortable to wear, and it turned out to be the perfect nude shade for me.

NYX’s Abu Dhabi is also really nice and effortless daily nude for me, nothing much to say about that one!

MAC’s Sushi Kiss I mentioned earlier in this post, and I rarely wear it alone because it looks kinda ridiculous on me on it’s own so I usually just use it on the center of my lips for more intense peach color.

MAC’s Lady Danger is one of my ultimate favorite reds and I’ve worn it soooo much. It’s really bright and intense orange red that looks so nice with yellow toned skin, it’s the perfect show stopper!

Another really nice red is NYX’s Pure Red, which is a teeny tiny bit deeper and more blueish than Lady Danger, so it’s quite universal “perfect red”. Some people say NYX Matte Lipsticks are shitty but I like them, they’re not too drying and they have great selection of more affordable options! This lipstick got especially lot of compliments in Korea, many bartenders/shop staff complimented this one as well as some random people on the streets lol.

MAC

Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolor - Burnt Spice

I totally forgot this one when I took the pictures of the others so it’s here separately lol. Anyway this one is actually rather dark on me but I love it, it has a tad bit more of a cool toned purple hue to it but not too much! It’s a really pretty mauve rose nude if that makes any sense? My boyfriend actually picked this one for me as a surprise gift and I was so impressed, it’s really nice!
